Alvaro Quinones Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Western Avenue [South Los Angeles, CA]

South Los Angeles, CA (November 21, 2021) – On Saturday, 52-year-old Alvaro Quinones sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue.

It was about about 5 a.m. when a northbound sedan fatally struck Quinones north of 65th Street. The driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene after the incident.

However, while Quinones was lying in the roadway, a second northbound vehicle struck him. That driver stopped and attempted to aid him.

The authorities responded and pronounced Quinones dead at the scene.

Moreover, officers described the hit-and-run vehicle as a white, early model, medium-sized sedan with tinted windows. There was no available description of the driver.
