Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Crash near North First Street
FRESNO, CA (October 25, 2018) – A woman was killed Thursday evening following a hit-and-run crash along East McKinley Avenue near North First Street. The victim was later identified as 51-year-old Altagracia Buenrostro, a resident Fresno.
According to the Fresno Police Department, Buenrostro was found unresponsive in a gutter in front of the Popeye’s restaurant at about 7:15 PM.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the vehicle that hit Buenrostro did not stop and immediately fled the area. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
