74-Year-Old Las Vegas Man Struck and Killed by Car in San Bernardino County
NIPTON, CA (April 6, 2018) – On Friday, a 74-year-old Las Vegas man was run over by a vehicle at a Caltrans Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Station near the Nevada border.
The victim was identified as Alphonso Monterio. According to CHP reports, he was working on the brakes of a semi-truck, when he was struck by another car. Monterio was pronounced dead at the scene by Community Ambulance personnel.
California Highway Patrol officials continue to investigate the fatal incident. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
