Teen Girl Killed After High-Speed Crash in Montebello Possibly Involving Police Pursuit
Montebello, CA (April 24, 2025) – 17-year-old Alina Lozano was killed Tuesday evening after a high-speed crash near Garfield Avenue.
According to authorities, the fatal incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. near Garfield Avenue and Beverly Boulevard.
Reports say that a Montebello Police Department patrol car was pursuing a silver Toyota Camry at the time of the crash.
The Toyota, attempting to flee, crashed into a tree in Ashiya Park, sustaining heavy front-end damage.
Montebello Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and extricated at least one person from the vehicle.
Authorities pronounced one individual dead at the scene, later identified as Lozano by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officials have not confirmed whether other passengers were in the vehicle.
