Alichia Church Killed and 1 Injured in Rollover Crash on 80 Freeway [Solano County, CA]

1 Dead and 1 Injured in Solano County Auto Accident on 80 Freeway

 
SOLANO COUNTY, CA (July 28, 2020) – Early Sunday afternoon, Alichia Church died and her passenger suffered major injures in a rollover crash on 80 Freeway.
 
The incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway and American Canyon Road. According to reports, a 1999 Toyota Avalon sedan driver changed lanes. Afterward, the driver came from the slow No. 4 lane across all lanes. Afterward, the driver lost control of her vehicle, said CHP Officer David Harvey.
 
Moreover, the Toyota steered back across all lanes and headed onto the right shoulder. Then, it struck a dirt embankment, overturned, and stopped on McGary Road.
 
The CHP and Solano County coroner’s office identified the driver as 27-year-old Alichia Church of Yuba City. Responders transported her to NorthBay Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old Oakland male front seat passenger of the Toyota sustained major injuries. Responders also took him to NorthBay Medical Center.
 
The crash remains under active investigation.
 
“At this time, drugs and/or alcohol intoxication is not known to be a factor in this traffic collision,” Harvey added.
