Alfonso Jimenez Fatally Hurt in Two-Vehicle Rollover Accident on Sixth Street [Norco, CA]

Alfonso Jimenez Killed after Norco Rollover Crash

 
NORCO, CA (July 8, 2019) — A 44-year-old Norco man identified as Alfonso Jimenez died after a rollover crash on Thursday, July 4.
 
The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Sixth Street and Temescal Avenue around 9:16 p.m.
 
Officials discovered two wrecked vehicles upside down in the intersection. They were later described as a Toyota Tundra and a Chevy El Camino.
 
The driver of the Chevy was found trapped and unconscious inside his damaged vehicle. Firefighters performed a cut and rescue operation to extricate the critically injured person.
 
Medical personnel discovered that the driver of the Chevy had also succumbed to his injuries. He eventually died on scene as a result of the impact.
 
Paramedics later rushed the Toyota driver to an area hospital for further treatment of minor injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
 
The initial investigation also determined that the driver of the Chevy moved south on Temescal Avenue. There, he drove at a high rate of speed.
 
Meanwhile, a Toyota was traveling west on Sixth Street. As the two vehicles entered the intersection, Jimenez slammed into the pickup for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused the Toyota Tundra to roll over onto its roof and slide across the intersection. Both vehicles came to a stop on the southwest part of the intersection into the oncoming lanes.
 
Furthermore, the surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
 
The investigation of the fatal crash is still currently ongoing. More details will eventually be released once available.
