5 Injured, 1 Killed in Folsom Car Accident

 
FOLSOM, CA (April 10, 2019) – A person died while five people suffered injuries in a single-vehicle crash on East Bidwell Street near College Parkway about 2:00 a.m. on April 9.
 
According to the Folsom Police Department, a 21-year-old Subaru Forester female driver with moderate injuries went to the hospital. Furthermore, authorities arrested her for suspected DUI. Police identified her as Alexis Little of Citrus Heights.
 
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old male front passenger died at the scene. Also, three other passengers in the back sustained moderate injuries. Medics transported all three to the hospital. Their age ranges from early 20s to late 20s.
 
According to one of the passengers,t the group went out together for the evening and part of the early morning. He added that he tried asking Little to slow down since she drove at high speed. A witness also noticed the speeding car before the collision. The passenger also said that the next thing he remembered was Little crashing to a pole.
 
As a result of the crash, the car overturned and landed on its roof.
 
During the investigation, authorities closed all lanes on East Bidwell near Oak Avenue Parkway for multiple hours.
