2 People Hurt in Oceanside Auto Accident on 801 N Coast Highway

OCEANSIDE, CA (May 8, 2025) – Wednesday morning, an alarming semi-truck crash on 801 N Coast Highway injured two people.

The incident happened at around 4:45 a.m. at 801 N Coast Highway.

According to reports, a semi-truck crashed through a single wall block and into a Starbucks for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department rushed to the scene and extricated the driver of the semi, who was trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the driver and an employee of Starbucks to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers ask everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the Oceanside Police Department continued investigating the crash.
