1 Person Arrested in Kansas City Auto Accident on Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff

KANSAS CITY, MO (April 17, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, an alarming police chase crash on Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff injured one person.

The Independence Police Department began pursuing a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in an aggravated assault incident with a gun.

According to the Missouri Police Department, KCPD took over the chase when the suspect entered the area of Truman and Hardesty. Then, the jeep failed to negotiate a curve in the area of Raytown Road and the Blue Ridge Cutoff and collided with a silver Toyota Camry.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries but refused further treatment at the scene.

Furthermore, officers arrested a suspect for an aggravated assault incident with a gun.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the Missouri Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
