Injuries Reported in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on 3900 Zanker Road

SAN JOSE, CA (March 11, 2025) – Monday morning, an alarming pedestrian crash on 3900 Zanker Road injured 2 picketers.

The incident occurred just after 9:00 a.m. in the 3900 block of Zanker Road, said the San Jose police.

Two members of the transit union picketing outside a VTA facility in San Jose suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car, according to police.

The injured individuals were participating in a demonstration organized by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 265, which went on strike Monday following a contract dispute. The union represents over 1,500 VTA employees, including bus and light rail operators.

While bus and light rail services were suspended Monday morning, VTA Paratransit operations remain unaffected.
