Injuries Reported in Lakeview Auto Accident on Ramona Expressway and Sixth Street

LAKEVIEW, CA (November 30, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, an alarming head-on crash on Ramona Expressway and Sixth Street injured 2 people.

The incident happened at 4:17 p.m. on the Ramona Expressway at Sixth Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to reports, the crash involved a pickup and a sedan on the westbound side of the two-lane corridor.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t identified which driver caused the crash, or the specific circumstances.

Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and found both motorists trapped in the wreckage.

CHP officers also closed the expressway while firefighters extricated the victims for less than 10 minutes.

Then, responders took both motorists to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.

By 5 p.m., the road has since reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
