Injuries Reported in Bonsall Auto Accident on 31200 Via Puerta del Sol

BONSALL, CA (June 15, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, an alarming head-on crash on 31200 Via Puerta del Sol injured 2 Oceanside police.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. in the 31200 block of Via Puerta del Sol.

A police pursuit ended when a Jeep went off the road and collided with an Oceanside police cruiser on the 31200 block of Via Puerta del Sol. The crash caused airbags to deploy in both vehicles.

Two officers were transported by ambulance to a nearby medical center. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was logged as a “traffic collision with minor injuries.”

The Jeep, occupied by three minors, had reportedly been involved in multiple police pursuits earlier that Saturday. Fire personnel assessed the Jeep’s occupants for injuries.

CHP noted that Oceanside police had issued a “be on the lookout” for the newer model Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which was involved in felony evading.
