Palmdale Resident Arrested after Alarming DUI Crash on State Route 14 [Newhall, CA]

Injuries Reported in Newhall Auto Accident on State Route 14 and Agua Dulce Canyon Road

NEWHALL, CA (August 16, 2023) – Sunday night, a 33-year-old Palmdale resident was arrested after an alarming DUI crash on State Route 14.

The incident happened at around 9:48 p.m. on State Route 14 and Agua Dulce Canyon Road.

Officer Josh Greengard, a spokesman for CHP’s Newhall office, revealed that a driver traveled in a Toyota sedan on State Route 14, passing Agua Dulce Canyon Road, with two passengers. Then, officers noted that one of the passengers was a juvenile.

However, the driver of the vehicle crashed into another vehicle.

“This collision caused injuries to the driver of the other vehicle,” Greengard confirmed.

Further investigation revealed that the 33-year-old driver was intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
