2 Semi Trucks Involved in Bakersfield Traffic Crash on Highway 99 and Kimberlina Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 6, 2025) – Saturday morning, an alarming auto accident on Highway 99 and Kimberlina Road led to no serious injuries.

The crash was first reported around 5:09 a.m. on Highway 99 and Kimberlina Road.

CHP said one of the semis overturned and spilled packages across the roadway, leading to a full closure of the northbound lanes at Kimberlina Road. Caltrans crews are assisting with cleanup efforts.

Officers arrived to find both semis involved, one on its side blocking lanes. No injuries were reported, though one person was taken to the hospital for evaluation after appearing disoriented.

The lanes were officially closed at 7:17 a.m., and drivers are being advised to use alternate routes while crews work to reopen the highway.
