Injuries Reported in Santa Rosa Auto Accident near E Street and Fifth Street
SANTA ROSA, CA (June 13, 2023) – Saturday, an alarming 2-vehicle crash near E Street and Fifth Street injured 3 people.
The incident occurred during the Peggy Sue’s Car Show & Cruise ― an annual event that features pre-1976 classic American cars, hot rods, and customs. As a classic car participated in a cruise, it malfunctioned near E Street and Fifth Street.
Then, the early Chevrolet Camaro struck a parked truck. Meanwhile, Santa Rosa police and firefighters responded at about 5:49 p.m. to the collision, Santa Rosa Police Department Lt. Chris Mahurin said.
As a result, three people inside the classic car were transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Moreover, no one occupied the parked vehicle. Also, the front of the vehicle had major damage.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
