Alan Alfaro Dead in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Alessandro Boulevard at Nason Street

MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 22, 2019) – A Moreno Valley man died in a three-vehicle accident on Alessandro Boulevard at Nason Street Saturday.

According to Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian De Marco, Moreno Valley sheriff’s station deputies, CalFire/Riverside and AMR arrived at the scene around 4:30 p.m.

Upon arriving within minutes of the dispatched call, officials found a man trapped inside his wrecked vehicle. It appeared the male victim suffered multiple traumatic injuries and seemed unresponsive.

After firefighters performed a cut and rescue operation to free the victim, paramedics immediately rushed him to Riverside University Health System’s Trauma Center in Moreno Valley. However, despite life-saving efforts, the 27-year-old victim died.

According to the coroner’s office, Alan Alfaro passed away roughly 25 minutes after the crash.

Back at the scene, three people were rushed to a nearby hospital for their minor injuries.

It’s unclear at this point what drove the crash; however, the use of alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor. Anyone who’d like to help authorities during the investigation should call Sergeant De Marco at ‪(951) 486-6700.
