Afternoon 4-Vehicle Pileup on 680 Freeway in Alamo Sends Several People to Hospital
ALAMO, CA (February 15, 2019) – Multiple injuries were reported following a four-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Alamo.
The crash happened around 1:16 p.m. on southbound 680 Freeway at Livorna Road off-ramp.
A blue Scion, a black Fiat and two other vehicles were involved in the crash. When officers arrived, the vehicles were blocking the HOV lane, as well as the first and second lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and transported several parties to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but both cars were towed away from the crash site.
It is unclear if drugs and/or alcohol have played a role in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
