Akard Avenue Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash Kills 28-Year-Old Redding Woman [Redding, CA]

Redding, CA (November 18, 2022) On Thursday evening, a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Akard Avenue killed a 28-year-old Redding woman.

RPD says that the deadly pedestrian crash happened about 6:35 p.m. at the intersection with Parkview Avenue.

Reports say that a westbound 2019 Honda Civic struck the Redding woman dressed in dark-colored clothing.

Medics rushed the female patient to Mercy Medical with serious injuries. However, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, authorities say that the driver stayed at the scene and was ot showing signs of impairment.

The RPD Traffic Unit is investigating the vehicle-pedestrian crash and have not released additional details at this time.
