Pedestrian Injured in Vancouver DUI Collision
Vancouver, WA (January 6, 2022) – On Thursday morning, the authorities arrested Adrian Ham, 23, in a State Route 500 hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian.
The traffic crash happened before 1 a.m. on the westbound freeway on-ramp from Northeast 112th Avenue.
WSP said Adrian Ham was driving a 2007 Honda Accord when he turned onto the ramp at a high speed. He lost control of the vehicle and drove into the ditch.
Ham struck the 46-year-old Vancouver man who was walking on the right shoulder and then fled the accident scene.
The victim was rushed to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center by a friend in an unknown condition.
Moreover, WSP stated that Ham was booked into the Clark County Jail for felony hit-and-run and vehicular assault. Also, Ham was booked for residential burglary, domestic violence and protection order violation, and restraint violation, Though, WSP did not release any detail regarding those charges.
The authorities said drugs and/or alcohol were involved in the collision, but Ham has not yet been charged with driving under the influence.
