80-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Avenue R
PALMDALE, CA (August 11, 2018) – A woman was killed Saturday night after a pedestrian crash on 45th Street East. The LA County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 80-year-old Adela Gonzalez. Her place of residence was not immediately disclosed.
According to reports, Gonzalez was pushing a shopping cart near Avenue R around 8:30 PM she was struck by a silver Honda Civic. Gonzalez suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The unidentified driver, a 24-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with officials during their investigation. Additional details have not yet been provided to the public at this time.
