THORNTON, CO (January 4, 2023) – Authorities arrested Adam Wooley after a deadly hit-and-run crash on Interstate 25 early Sunday morning.
 
The incident happened at around 12:33 a.m. on Interstate 25 in the Thornton Area.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located the body of a woman on the road.
 
“Preliminary investigation revealed the deceased had been traveling in a ride-share vehicle with friends and became ill inside the vehicle,” said Thornton Police Department. “The rideshare driver pulled over and the occupants terminated the ride after paying. A short time later one of the occupant riders walked out into the roadway. And was sideswiped by a dark truck that never stopped by continued driving.”
 
After the first crash involving the truck, a second vehicle struck the woman. Then, the driver of the second vehicle stopped and cooperate with the authorities.
 
Meanwhile, the truck driver left the crash scene.
 
Also, officers contacted the ride-share driver who has been cooperative.
 
By Monday, the truck driver spoke with the investigators. The authorities identified the truck driver as 33-year-old Adam Wooley.
 
Then, they arrested him with hit-and-run involving death charges.
