20-Year-Old Woman Fatally Inured Crash on Highway 84
LIVERMORE, CA (March 16, 2018) – A head-on collision killed one person and injured several others on Highway 84 (Isabel Avenue) near Concannon Boulevard, on Friday morning. The victim was identified as 20-year-old Abigail Garcia of Stockton.
At around 8:53 AM, Garcia was driving a 2013 Infiniti sedan northbound on Highway 84, when it hit a 2015 Ram truck. According to preliminary investigations, the sedan veered into the southbound lanes and struck the Ram, which was pulling a trailer.
Garcia, who wasn’t secured in a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and onto the road. She succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The three people inside the truck were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. There is no update on their current condition.
The contributing factors to the accident are still unknown. Livermore police are encouraging witnesses with additional information to contact Officer Christian Starr at (925) 371-4853.
