Police Seek the Hit-And-Run Driver after Crash on 71st Avenue in West Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (August 4, 2021) – Friday morning, Aaron Maldonado died in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road.

 Phoenix Police are still searching for a driver who was involved in a deadly hit-and-run.

Reportedly, the fatal crash happened on July 30  at around 10:00 a.m.

The victim, Maldonado was on his way home from work when someone driving a brown or tan Chevrolet Tahoe hit his pickup truck and another car, and then took off.

Aaron’s wife Crystal said she knew something wasn’t right when Aaron took more than an hour to make it home. She got in her car, searching along his normal route, and that was when she found the wreck and learned her husband had died.

Aaron leaves behind four children and at this point, the thing that is holding the family together is the support of the community.
