Elderly Man Hurt in Lemon Grove Accident

 
LEMON GROVE, CA (May 17, 2019) — A 95-year-old man was seriously hurt after a pickup truck accident on Thursday, May 16.
 
According to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Montan, the crash occurred just after 8:55 a.m. in front of the 99 Cents Only store on Lemon Grove Avenue, just south of Broadway.
 
A pickup truck crashed into a pedestrian and he ended up trapped under the vehicle, authorities stated. After paramedics freed the man from under the pickup, they brought him to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and intoxication was not believed to be a factor in the incident, Montan said.
 
The circumstances that caused the collision were under investigation. Officials urge anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact the Lemon Grove sheriff’s station at 619-337-2000.
