Multi-Vehicle Collision Reported near Fulton Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 21, 2018) – On Friday morning, nine vehicles were involved in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 51.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 9:19 AM, just north of Fulton Avenue. As per reports, at least nine cars were involved in the incident. It was not yet clear what events or circumstances led to the pile-up accident. One vehicle left the scene, making it a hit-and-run collision.
Emergency medics arrived at the scene to find one person to be injured. It is unclear what kind of injuries were sustained and whether or not the individual was hospitalized. There is no update on their current medical condition or their identity.
The No. 1 and 2 lanes of the highway were closed due to the commotion. A clearing operation was performed in the area, as well as an investigation by the authorities.
