Mission Gorge Road Traffic Crash Results in Injuries

San Diego, CA (February 2, 2023) – On Wednesday, an 83-year-old woman incurred serious injuries following a Mission Vista Drive collision.

Reports say the  83-year-old woman was driving a westbound 1996 Ford Crown Victoria on Mission Gorge Road to the intersection of Mission Vista Drive.

At the same time, a 22-year-old woman was driving an eastbound 2010 Honda Civic on Mission Gorge Road. She started to make a left turn onto Mission Vista Drive and drove into the path of the Ford.

The two vehicles collided head-on.

Immediately, the rescue team rushed the 83-year-old woman to a hospital with a fractured left femur, fractured right ankle, and sternum.

Moreover, SDPD said that both drivers claimed they each had a green light. Officers are investigating but do not consider alcohol as a factor in the Mission Gorge Road traffic crash.

The SDPD’s Traffic Division was investigating the collision.
