Fatality Reported in Phoenix Pedestrian Crash
Phoenix, AZ (December 3, 2024) – 82-year-old Vera Sihirlic was killed in a Bell Road accident Sunday night.
The emergency rescuers responded to the fatal accident near the intersection with 3rd Street.
When they arrived, officers located Vera Sihirlic lying in the roadway with critical injuries. Sadly, she died at the scene.
Investigators said she was crossing Bell Road in the crosswalk on a green light. However, the lights cycled through as she was crossing and she was struck by a vehicle with a green light.
Troopers said the man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Officers are investigating this collision.
