Elderly Pedestrian Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Crash near Church Avenue
HIGHLAND, CA (June 9, 2018) – An elderly pedestrian was hospitalized Saturday morning following, a pedestrian collision on Baseline Street. Her identity was not immediately released.
According to the Highland Police Department, they received reports about a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at about 7:00 AM. Upon arriving, they found the 82-year-old victim unconscious in the crosswalk at the intersection of Baseline Street and Church Avenue.
The woman was transported to a local hospital after suffering several injuries, including multiple contusions, abrasions, and a possible broken hip. Updates and details about the victim’s current condition were not immediately available.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible for this incident.
