8 People Hospitalized after Crash on 15 Freeway and Werick Road [Corona, CA]

Multiple Injuries Reported in Corona Accident on 15 Freeway and Werick Road

 
CORONA, CA (May 23, 2021) – Sunday night, eight people suffered injuries in a crash on 15 Freeway and Werick Road.
 
The California Highway Patrol with the City of Corona Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene. According to reports, the crash occurred at about 10:09 p.m. on the 15 southbound just north of Werick Road.
 
When the first engine company arrived, they found two vehicles with major damage and several injured victims. Thus, they declared a mass casualty.
 
As a result, responders transported eight patients to area hospitals. One of them sustained serious injuries. Meanwhile, three others suffered moderate injuries. Meanwhile, the four patients sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown. Thus, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
