8 People Distraught after School Bus Crash on Loop 564 [Mineola, TX]

Injuries Reported in Mineola Auto Accident on Loop 564

MINEOLA, TX (March 21, 2023) – Monday morning, a school bus crash on Loop 564 in Mineola left 8 people distraught.

Mineola Independent School District confirmed that the incident occurred at about 7:00 a.m. on Loop 564. Moreover, it happened north of the primary and middle school campuses.

According to the Texas DPS, the school bus driver went across the center strip. Then, it crashed with a Nissan Versa.

Reports confirmed that a dozen students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

As a result, responders transported a total of eight people to the hospital.

Three students sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the others received treatment at the scene.

Also, responders transported the bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle to the hospital with non-life-threatening conditions.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
