8 Injured in Everett Multi-Vehicle Accident

 
EVERETT, WA (July 24, 2019) – Eight people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Broadway on July 22.
 
The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on Broadway and Everett Avenue. According to the Everett Fire Department, one of the eight people hospitalized suffered critical injury. Meanwhile, one of the vehicles caught fire when authorities came.
 
The multi-vehicle accident involved six vehicles. As a result, authorities shut down Broadway was closed between 26th Street and California Street for hours during the investigation.
 
The police and witnesses revealed that a pickup truck drove at a high speed at 60-plus mph just before the accident.
 
The pickup truck driver also went to the hospital with serious injuries. Detectives also stated that they noticed open alcohol containers inside the truck.
 
The truck driver will face vehicular assault charges upon release from the hospital.
