74-year-old Man Injured in Police Pursuit Crash near 220th Street and Military Road [SeaTac, WA]

1 Hospitalized after SeaTac Pedestrian Accident near 220th Street

 
SEATAC, WA (October 28, 2020) – Recently, a 74-year-old man suffered critical injuries after a police pursuit crash near 220th Street and Military Road.
 
According to Trooper Rick Johnson with WSP, a motorcycle officer pulled over a 32-year-old male driver. The officer stopped the driver after noticing that it traveled at least 95 mph on NB I-5, just south of SR 516.
 
As the officer pulled over the driver, the man gave him a couple of different names. Afterward, the driver fled the scene. Thus, the police began a brief chase when the driver slowed down and exited the freeway onto Military Road.
 
Then, the driver struck the 74-year-old pedestrian on a street near 220th Street and Military Road. The vehicle dragged the pedestrian onto a nearby yard.
 
When the responders arrived, they transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
 
Furthermore, the authorities closed down area roads while police investigate.
 
Meanwhile, the officials revealed that the driver who also had a felony warrant out for his arrest was now in custody.
