Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Highway 1 in Soquel

Soquel, CA (April 4, 2025) – A 73-year-old man died early in the morning in a crash on Highway 1 near Soquel Avenue .

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. when a 44-year-old woman was driving southbound on Highway 1.

The man, whose identity remains unknown, was walking on the highway when the driver hit him. 

He suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
