Woma Dies From Injuries in Multi-Car Crash on Decatur Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV (August 27, 2020) – On Tuesday, a 79-year-old woman died in a multi-vehicle crash on Decatur Boulevard and Oakey boulevard.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said the incident took place around 3:15 p.m., on August 25 in west Las Vegas Valley.
LVMPD said a Nissan Altima turned left from southbound Decatur Boulevard onto OakeyBoulevard, and turned into the front of a northbound Kia Optima. The Kia struck the Nissan on its right side.
As a result, Nissan’s bumper was thrown into the intersection crashing into a nearby car at the stoplight.
Rescuers took Kia’s driver, together with Nissan’s driver and passenger to University Medical Center for treatment.
However, on Wednesday, the hospital notified the authorities that the Nissan’s passenger, a 79-year-old woman, died from her crash injuries.
The woman’s death marks the 62nd traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for the year 2020.
