LOS ANGELES, CA (September 7, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a 70-year-old female pedestrian suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Broadway.

The LAPD revealed that a 2003-2006 Mercedes Benz C230 with dealer-issued plates hit the woman about 5:00 p.m. They added that the crash took place on North Broadway and College Street in Chinatown.

After the preliminary investigation, the Central Traffic Division officers determined that the driver stopped for a while. However, the driver still escaped the crash scene.

“The driver failed to stop, remain at the scene, render aid and identify themselves as required by law,” an LAPD spokesperson revealed. “The pedestrian sustained multiple blunt-force trauma injuries because of the collision.”

Then, the Los Angeles Fire Department took the female victim to a local hospital in critical condition.

According to police, the suspect is between 35 and 50 years old. He’s about 6’4” and weighs 180 pounds with short blond braids. The police added that he has tattoos on his arm and the number “1” inked on the left side of his face.

The detectives urge anyone with information about the crash to call Det. Jose De Leon of the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division at 213-833-3713 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
