Van Driver Dies after Head-On Crash on State Route 79 in Santa Ysabel

 
Santa Ysabel, CA (January 25, 2021) – Monday morning, the 62-year-old driver of a van died in a deadly head-on crash on State Route 79.
 
The Santa Ysabel fatal crash happened shortly before 9 a.m on January 25, on a back-country roadway near Lake Henshaw.
 
CHP said a southbound 2018 Ford T250 van veered over a set of double yellow lines directly into the path of an oncoming 2007 Ford F450 truck on state Route 79, south of state Route 76.
 
The van driver died, and the other driver then transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido to treat minor injuries.
 
Moreover, police said intoxication is not a factor in the crash.
 
Further investigation into this State Route 79 crash is on-going.
