62-Year-Old Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Briggsmore Avenue Hit-and-Run Collision

Modesto, CA (April 10, 2022) On 62-year-old Kenneth Hutt died in a hit-and-run collision on Lakewood Avenue.

Modesto police (MPD) say the bicycle accident happened between Briggsmore Avenue and Orangeburg Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and found Hutt with major injuries.

Paramedics did life-saving procedures but Hutt succumbed to his sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, witnesses reported 2 pickup trucks driving away from the scene.

Moreover, reports say that the 1st truck was an older-model red Toyota pickup and the 2nd was a mid-2000s white Chevrolet Silverado.

Additionally, both pickups were southbound on Lakewood Avenue at the time of the crash and were seen driving away eastward on Orangeburg Avenue.

Furthermore, police said that one or both pickups may have front-end damages including the windshield.

Police are investigating the crash and are actively seeking the drivers of these trucks.
