Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near South K Street
TULARE, CA (October 4, 2018) – A man was killed late Thursday morning following a pedestrian crash on East Paige Avenue. The identity of the 60-year-old deceased victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 11:30 AM near South K Street. The pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The victim suffered unspecified injuries and was rushed to the Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the unidentified driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation at this time. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
