6 Hospitalized after Sacramento Car Accidents on Highway 50 near Watt and Howe Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 10, 2020) – Six unidentified people sustained injuries in separate collisions on Highway 50 on Saturday, March 7.
 
According to reports, a total of 33 unidentified vehicles were involved. Dispatchers arrived on the westbound lanes of Highway 50 between Watt Avenue and Howe Avenue shortly after receiving multiple 911 calls.
 
Upon officers’ arrival, they discovered that the series of crashes consisted of 9 separate incidents. In addition, all were caused by speeding drivers in a rainy condition.
 
Paramedics transported five people to a local hospital for further treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, another victim was transported with moderate injuries. There has been no update on their current condition.
 
The collisions caused traffic delays on Highway 50 for multiple hours. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
