Berkeley, CA (August 19, 2021) – Thursday afternoon, a 59-year-old man sustained severe injuries in a DUI crash on San Pablo Avenue and Oregon Street.

The crash in Berkeley happened at around  2:46 p.m. on August 19. 

  Authorities responded to multiple calls about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. 

Emergency personnel responded and took the victim to a local trauma hospital in critical condition.

Subsequently, police arrested the vehicle’s driver, a 65-year-old Berkeley man on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing injury.
