57-Year-Old Man Injured in Fatal Collision on South Mildred Street [Tacoma, WA]

19-Year-Old Dodge Driver Killed on 2-Vehicle Crash on South 19th Street

Tacoma, WA (May 11, 2022) On Sunday, a 57-year-old man was injured in a fatal collision on South Mildred Street.

According to the Tacoma Police Department (TPD), the fatal accident happened at about 1:29 a.m. at South 19th Street.

Reports say that 2 vehicles collided at the intersection. Fircrest Police Department (FPD) responded to the scene.

Officials say that a 19-year-old driver in a Dodge Charger came up at a high rate of speed and attempted to pass the 57-year-old man in a Toyota RAV4.

Then the Dodge struck the Toyota driver who is turning left onto South 19th Street.

Paramedics pronounced the 19-year-old dead at the scene, while the older driver was taken to a hospital.
