1 Killed in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident near Vegas Drive and Jones Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 28, 2021) – Last Tuesday, a 55-year-old man died following a crash near Vegas Drive and Jones Boulevard that happened on January 21st.
The incident occurred Thursday around 6:50 p.m. near Vegas Drive and Jones Boulevard. According to reports, a 40-year-old woman drove a 2019 Nissan Sentra east on Vegas Drive. Then, she hit a pedestrian walking across the road outside a marked crosswalk.
“A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the path of the Nissan and was struck,” police added.
As a result, responders transported the 55-year-old man to University Medical Center. Meanwhile, the female driver stayed at the scene and didn’t show signs of impairment.
However, by Tuesday, the Clark County coroner’s office confirmed that the pedestrian had died. According to reports, his death will not be ruled as a traffic fatality until the coroner’s office finalized its investigation.
Also, the coroner’s office hasn’t disclosed the identity of the victim. They also didn’t provide any details on the cause and manner of death.
