Man Struck and Killed in Fallbrook Pedestrian Accident on Mission Road

 
FALLBROOK, CA (November 3, 2020) – Sunday morning, a 53-year-old man died in an accident on Mission Road near Peppertree Lane.
 
The vehicle versus pedestrian incident occurred about 12:15 a.m. A Toyota Camry hit a pedestrian on South Mission Road near Peppertree Lane.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian run across the northbound lanes and crossed from the east side of the road, that is when the car struck him.
 
California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe confirmed that CHP officers and North County Fire medics came to the scene.
 
Moreover, responders took the man to a Temecula hospital. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to the injuries he sustained when hit by the vehicle. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed his identity.
 
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old driver from Fallbrook remained uninjured. Latulippe also confirmed that the driver was not impaired.
 
Moreover, the Medical Examiner’s Office will make tests to identify if the man who died was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
 
The authorities shut down the road for more than an hour during the investigation.
