53-Year-Old Man Dies in Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 [Visalia, CA]

San Diego Man Killed in Fatal Car Crash on Highway 99

 
Visalia, CA (October 14, 2020) – On Tuesday, a 53-year-old man from San Diego died in a car crash on Highway 99.
 
The fatal incident transpired at about 10 p.m. near Prosperity Avenue.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the victim was driving his Mercedes on Highway 99 at an unknown speed. Then, he made an unsafe turn directly into the path of a Volvo.
 
As a result, the Volvo collided with the Mercedes.
 
Subsequently, the victim’s vehicle also struck a metal guardrail before coming to a stop in the median.
 
Immediately, rescuers took the victim to an area hospital, where he later died. Authorities have not yet released any information about his identity.
 
Meanwhile, the Volvo driver was uninjured.
 
Authorities are investigating the incident. Though, it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
