Crash on West Vista Way Killed 1 Man and Injured 3 Others

 
Vista, CA (August 1, 2020) – On Thursday, a 51-year-old man died and three other people were injured in a crash on West Vista Way.
 
The fatal accident occurred at about 10:55 p.m. on July 30 near Copper Avenue.
 
San Diego County Sheriff’s Sgt. Hernan Gonzalez said a 22-year-old woman was driving an Infiniti sedan westbound on West Vista Way.
 
Then, her car drifted into the path of a Chevrolet hatchback that was traveling eastbound. As a result, the two cars collided with each other.
 
Authorities pronounced the 51-year-old Chevy driver dead at the scene, while his passenger was taken to Palomar Medical Center for sustaining severe injuries.
 
Moreover, the rescuers also took the Infiniti driver to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, and her passenger who sustained minor injuries was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
 
Meanwhile, police withheld the deceased man’s name pending family notification.
 
Gonzalez also mentioned that alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the crash.
