2 Hospitalized after Reno Pedestrian Accident

 
RENO, NV (September 23, 2019) – Five students sustained injuries after a car struck them on Lotus Street on September 20.
 
According to the Reno Police Department (RPD), at about 7:20 a.m., the students got hit by a car while waiting for the bus on Lotus Street between Honeysuckle Drive and Peppermint Drive.
 
The car’s driver traveling on his way to work when he reached up to put their sun visor down. However, he then hit the students standing on the road.
 
Five students sustained injuries and two of them went to to the hospital.
 
However, authorities ruled out alcohol or speed as a factor in the crash.
 
The crash led the Washoe County School District to move the bus stop where it happened a block away. As a result, they set the new location closer to residences on Peppermint Drive and Indigo Circle.
