Five Hurt in Four-Car Collision near Edmonston Drive

 
ROCKVILLE, WA (December 2, 2018) – Five people sustained injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on Rockville Pike. The identities and places of residence of the victims were not disclosed to the public.
 
According to officers with the Montgomery County Police, the four-vehicle incident occurred just after 12:00 PM, near Edmonston Drive.
 
Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire Department, stated that medics were requested at the scene to aid injured victims in the crash. Among those, three of the victims suffered serious injuries. There is no update on their current medical conditions at this time.
 
Due to the collision, the southbound 355 was closed from First Street to Edmonston Drive. Wooten Road was also blocked up to West Edmonston Drive, but was later opened after clearing operations took place. No additional information has been released, as the investigation continues.
