GRIDLEY, CA (July 15, 2021) – Wednesday morning, five people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Gridley Road and Authority Drive.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened on Gridley Road and Authority Drive.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound red Ford Focus failed to stop and rear-ended a westbound grey Nissan Altima that slowed down to make a left turn towards Authority Drive.
 
Furthermore, the force of the crash pushed the Altima towards the eastbound lanes and collided with a Nissan Pathfinder which in turn spun out towards the westbound lanes and collided with a westbound Nissan Rogue. The Nissan Rogue crashed down an embankment after the collision.
 
Moreover, responders transported five people to a hospital with unknown injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the crash closed down a portion of East Gridley Road to the East Gridley Rd. Bridge over the Feather River for more than an hour.
 
Also, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
