5 Hurt Following DUI Accident

 
BEAUMONT, CA (May 13, 2019) – Five people were injured Saturday in a DUI accident at Beaumont Avenue and East 6th Street.
 
According to police, the incident unfolded around 3 p.m. Witnesses stated seeing a white four-door Lincoln sedan blow through a red light at high speeds. The sedan subsequently struck a van, causing it to overturn onto its side.
 
Five people suffered injuries and required hospitalization, police reported.
 
Crews arrived to find a red overturned van and a white car with severe damage. Not long after, officials learned that one driver was impaired at the time.
 
However, the case remains under investigation by officials.
