5 Hurt in Elk Grove Multi-Car Crash at Laguna Boulevard

 
ELK GROVE, CA (June 4, 2019) – Five people suffered injuries Sunday in a multi-vehicle crash at Laguna Boulevard and Dwight Road.
 
Authorities are seeking the cause and where the fault lies in this four-vehicle crash. The incident happened when a driver in a blue Lexus was attempting a left-hand turn onto Dwight Road.
 
Under unclear circumstances, the car crossed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a green Suzuki, which subsequently involved two other vehicles.
 
As of Sunday night, three drivers remained hospitalized yet in stable condition. One of the victims declined treatment at the scene and further hospitalization.
 
However, a woman returning home from a trip to a grocery store sustained major injuries.
 
Commuters faced traffic along Laguna Boulevard for hours as officers cleared the scene and investigated the crash further.
